What is a Trade Area?

A trade area can be created many different ways.

• It can be a set distance, for example 3 miles.
• It can be a drive time, for example 15 minutes. (See Attachment TradeArea_DriveTime)
• It can be a user drawn area based on physical or mental boundaries, for example interstates or mountains or water barriers. (See attachment TradeArea_UserDrawn)
• It can take into account other store locations and showing the closest distance to each one. (See attachment TradeAreaWithOtherStores)
• It can be provided by the tenant based on their requirements.

How can you request one?

First start with one of the above options. It helps to provide us some context on the client requesting it and how they view a trade area. With that information we can recommend an option and create the map for you.
